The hotel forms part of the redevelopment of the waterways of the Grand Union Canal at Brentford. The site overlooks Brentford Lock and the 5 storey building provides 152 bedrooms as well as conference and meeting facilities with basement car parking.
The basement is below the water table, and is of reinforced concrete with 5 storeys of bedroom accommodation above in pre-cast cross wall construction supported on a transfer slab at first floor. The steel structure is expressed externally along the canal and lock with curtain walling carefully detailed and integrated with the structure.
