A chartered structural engineer, Hywel specializes in the delivery of more complex and challenging building projects. Hywel joined Manhire Associates as an Associate, after working at Skanska Technology and being seconded to Ove Arup and Partners.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering Honors degree from the University of Wales, Hywel worked as a Design Engineer at George Hutchison Associates, working on a variety of buildings. In 2003, Hywel moved to Integra Consulting, based in Manchester widening his experience working on a range of buildings such as schools, hospitals, offices, apartments and industrial units. In 2007, Hywel moved to Skanska Technology working challenging projects such as the 6 level temporary works propping design for Bond Street station.
Hywel is experienced in the design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures and has experience in a variety of procurement methods and types of construction contracts.
