Leeds - Senior Engineer Role

Due to continued success in gaining high profile, high value contracts throughout the UK in Residential, Commercial and Retail developments, we are looking to expand our growing team. We are currently seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer to be based in our Leeds office, who has a proven track record as a Project Team Leader. The successful candidate will take on the lead role in both project delivery and structural design, and be responsible for engineer and technician supervision, management and mentoring. You will be working out of our expanding Leeds office, and be taking an active role in business development and work winning.

The right candidate can expect to progress quickly to a more senior role within the Leeds office, and should be technically strong in all primary materials, but particularly reinforced concrete and structural steel, and have solid working knowledge of both British Standards and Eurocode design. A proven track record in project delivery is essential.

  • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Chartered membership ( or close to) of the ICE or IStructE

  • Adopting the company ethos and approach, and adapting and evolving the ethos as the company grows.
  • Undertaking concept designs and planning projects at concept stage.
  • Managing a project team to deliver designs on budget and program to suit the client’s needs.
  • Interact and cultivate relations with clients and other project members.
  • Develop new business and introduce new clients.
  • Project resourcing and assistance in recruitment.
  • Managing project budgets and fees.
  • Assisting in the day to day running of the office.
  • Taking an active role in business development of the Leeds office
