Brief Description of Duties

The following is a brief summary of the responsibilities of a Senior Engineer / Associate.

 

  • Adopting the company ethos and approach
  • Undertaking concept designs and planning projects through to construction
  • Leading and managing project teams to deliver projects on budget to meet technical and commercial expectations
  • Managing project budgets and fees
  • Manage and motivate team members
  • Mentor staff
  • Project resourcing and assistance in recruitment
  • Clearly communicate goals and targets to the team
  • Regular reporting to the Management Team
  • Interact and cultivate relations with clients and other project members
  • Develop new business and introduce new clients

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Structural Engineer who is competent at both technical and managerial level. They will have a proven track record of successful delivery of projects from concept to detailed design through to completion of construction. London - Civil Engineer


We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer based in our Norbiton office, who has a proven track record and experience in civil engineering.

The successful candidate will assist in both project delivery and civil design:

  • The ability to undertake technical and feasibility studies
  • Experienced in the use design and visualisations software of AutoCad/Civils 3D or similar.
  • Proficiency in drainage design and hold experience in undertaking Section 38,104, 106 & 278 agreements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to produce written reports

The ideal candidate would possess good management and leadership skills, have the ability to manage own projects, including time and forecasting, and hold experience in generating fee proposals. The candidate will however be supervised by an Associate Civil Engineer and will have the opportunity to build upon current experience.

Structural Revit Technician


Location: New Malden
Employment Type: Full-time – Office based
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role We are seeking a skilled Structural Revit Technician to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate and detailed structural models and drawings across a wide range of building and civil engineering projects. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other design professionals to deliver high-quality technical documentation.

 

Key Responsibilities

 
  • Create, develop, and maintain 3D Revit structural models for various building structures.
  • Produce clear and accurate technical drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
  • Collaborate with structural engineers to interpret design intent and apply engineering principles in modelling.
  • Coordinate models with other disciplines (architecture, MEP, civil) to ensure seamless integration.
  • Prepare and manage Revit families and ensure adherence to BIM standards.
  • Assist with BIM Level 2 requirements, including model sharing, clash detection, and data management.
  • Maintain drawing and model documentation in line with company standards and QA processes.
  • Support project teams by providing technical input and helping to resolve modelling challenges.
  • Conduct regular model audits to ensure accuracy, consistency, and file performance.
  • Work efficiently to meet project deadlines while upholding quality standards.
 

Requirements

 
  • Proven experience working as a Structural Revit Technician in a consultancy or engineering environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, and structural engineering principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
