With a decade of experience across the UK and South Africa, Rob is a Chartered Structural Engineer in both countries and has recently joined Manhire Associates as an Associate. His role involves leading projects, problem solving and providing leadership and strategic direction and mentorship to the team.

Rob began his career in South Africa, where he gained early experience on major schemes including Loftus Park, several education refurbishment projects, and a high-rise student accommodation development. Since moving to the UK, he has held positions with Meinhardt and Heyne Tillett Steel, where he has successfully led and delivered a range of large and complex residential and commercial developments.

His background also includes experience as a resident engineer on a major construction project, giving him valuable insight into the construction process and a strong focus on practical, efficient, and buildable design solutions. He has particular expertise in complex basements and new-build developments, including the successful technical delivery of Gateway 2 projects under the Building Safety Act.

He also has extensive experience collaborating with project design teams, clients and contractors, and has a track record of successfully gaining third party approvals from local authorities. Outside of work, Rob enjoys outdoor activities including running and golf.
